Amy

Hello, I am Amy the Centre Manager here at Care for Kids Woodvale. I have been working in the industry as an Early Childhood Teacher after graduating with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Studies from Ireland.

Working in this sector is not a job but a full-time passion. I strive to provide excellent care, creating and promoting high quality educational programs to foster the children’s learning and development.

I believe that the early years learning is the most important foundation block we can provide our children to help them grow to be future leaders and ambassador for our community and the greater world.

I enjoy building strong relationships with families as this bond allows us to work as a team to help, guide and promote personalised care for each child’s individual learning journey.

A childhood should be fun, exciting, and spontaneous with endless opportunities. I am a big advocate for child led, play based learning. I support and promote the theory of Reggio Emilia. Children have 100 languages in which they use to understand, express, and explore the world around them.

The environment in which they learn in is valued as a ‘third teacher’. We support and guide this practice by providing a warm nurturing environment that is safe and inviting with endless opportunities. The team here at Woodvale are passionate, professional, and dedicated to our families.

We strive to provide a home away from home experience and we look forward to meeting you all and welcoming you to our Woodvale family.

Nourished Beginnings

Healthy Meals & Nutrition

At Care for Kids, we provide nourishing, whole food meals to support children’s health and development. We partner with Nourished Beginnings, a Perth-based early childhood nutrition specialist, to deliver carefully planned menus using fresh ingredients with minimal processing, additives and added sugar.

Our whole food approach helps children develop a positive relationship with food by understanding where it comes from and the nourishment it provides. While ingredients may occasionally vary due to availability, we always ensure meals align as closely as possible with our healthy nutrition principles.

Service FAQs

What are your operating hours?

Our centre is open Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 6:00pm, 52 weeks of the year. We're only closed on public holidays, so you can count on us to be here for your family all year round. We understand that families have busy schedules, and our extended hours are designed to give you the flexibility you need.

How do I enrol my child?

Enrolling is simple! You can start the process by clicking the Enrol Now button on this page or visiting our Enrolments page. From there you'll complete an online enrolment form and our team will be in touch to confirm your child's place, answer any questions, and arrange an orientation visit so your child feels comfortable before their first day.

What does a typical day look like for my child?

Every day at our centre is designed to balance play, learning, rest, and connection. Children are welcomed warmly each morning and move through a blend of intentional learning experiences, creative play, outdoor exploration, mealtimes, and quiet time -all guided by our qualified educators. Our program is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, where children are seen as capable, curious learners. Throughout the week you'll receive updates and photos through Storypark, keeping you connected to your child's learning journey and the moments that matter most.
