Pre-Kindy Program

Play-Based Introduction to Formal Learning

Preparing children and families for a smooth, positive start to school.

Starting school is a big milestone for children and their families. At Care for Kids, we understand the importance of feeling confident, prepared and supported during this transition.

Our Pre-Kindy Program is thoughtfully planned for children aged 3 to 5 years. It focuses on providing a positive and engaging introduction to formal learning, while also building the skills, confidence and independence children need to transition smoothly from early learning to school.

Lunch Box Days

Practising for School. During November, children take part in Lunch Box Days to help prepare for school routines. Families bring the lunch box their child will use at school.

Children and educators work together to prepare a packed lunch, practise opening containers and enjoy their lunch independently, building confidence and familiarity before the school year begins.

Pre-Kindy Library

Once a week, children are encouraged to borrow books from our library. This gives them the opportunity to explore new stories, develop a love of reading, and build early literacy skills.

Borrowed books can be enjoyed at home and returned the following week, helping to establish routines and a lifelong habit of reading.
